Celebrate the City of Roses with this floral French 75! Make your own rose simple syrup (easy recipe below) or use Portland Syrups Rose Cordial.
- 1 oz Portland Dry Gin 33
- ½ oz lemon juice
- ½ oz rose simple syrup* or Rose Cordial Syrup
- sparkling wine
- 1 lemon peel for garnish
Shake gin, lemon juice, and rose syrup with ice. Double strain into a martini or coupe glass and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon peel.
*Rose simple syrup: Stir together 7 tsp rose water, 4½ oz hot water, 1+1/3 cup white sugar. Cool on the counter and then refrigerate for up to one month.
