This autumnal tipple is tart, refreshing, and full of fall flavors.

• 1 1/2 oz New Deal Spiced Rum
• 3/4 oz hard cider (We like Portland Cider Co. Original Gold)
• 1/2 oz lemon juice
• 1/2 oz simple syrup
• 1 apple slice (fresh or dried) for garnish

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with an apple slice, either dried or fresh.
