The savory, herbaceous qualities of our Gin No. 1 make for an intriguing take on the New Orleans classic.

• 2 oz  New Deal Gin No. 1
• 1/2 oz simple syrup
• 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
• 4 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
• absinthe rinse
• 1 lemon peel for garnish

Stir gin, simple syrup, and bitters with ice until chilled (at least 20 seconds). Pour a small amount of absinthe into a rocks glass. Swirl, discard, then strain your cocktail into the glass. Garnish with a lemon peel.
