A Hot Monkey fan reached out to us looking for the recipe for the Ghost in the Machine (a cocktail served by our friends at the Driftwood Room). We didn’t have the proportions for this cocktail but it sounded so delicious that we gave it a whirl anyway! Introducing the Ghost of the Ghost in the Machine.
- 1 oz New Deal Vodka
- 3/4 oz Hot Monkey
- 1/2 oz Aperol
- 3/4 oz basil simple syrup
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz grapefruit juice
- Blood Orange San Pellegrino
- 1 lemon twist and fresh basil, for garnish
Combine all ingredients and shake with ice. Strain over fresh ice into a collins glass and top with Blood Orange San Pellegrino. Garnish with fresh basil and a lemon twist.
