new deal blue hawaii tropical cocktail

Blue Hawaii

Invented at a Honolulu hotel in 1957, the Blue Hawaii is a vibrant, tropical classic. In fact, its creator, the legendary bartender Harry Yee, is often cited for popularizing the little cocktail umbrellas we love to put in our tropical drinks.

  • ¾ oz New Deal Vodka
  • ¾ oz Distiller’s Cut Rum
  • ½ oz blue curaçao
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 pineapple wedge and a cocktail umbrella for garnish

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a Hurricane glass. Top with pebble ice and garnish with a pineapple wedge and a cocktail umbrella.

HOT TIP: You can also combine all the ingredients with ice in a blender–the perfect way to cool down a very hot day!

Miss Moneypenny

Named after James Bond’s main lady, Miss Moneypenny puts a romantic twist on the classic vesper. A girl needs a proper cocktail after a hard day’s work!
