Rocky Butte Farmers Market’s (RBFM) mission is to provide NE Portland residents with access to affordable, seasonal, locally grown foods and artisan products. The market’s primary goal is to support small farms, reducing barriers to participation for beginning and underrepresented vendors. RBFM strengthens connections within our diverse community by offering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive gathering space.
More than just a market, RBFM strives to be an impactful community resource – collaborating with neighboring organizations and gardens to provide services to underserved community members, increase access to education and food security, and positively impact the ecology, health, and overall community well-being. The market is dedicated to supporting and uplifting Indigenous Peoples in our community with intentional and meaningful actions. Three percent of total booth fees during market season will be directly donated to local Indigenous farmers, families, and organizations. To create equitable access for Native people at our market, we always offer booth fee discounts for all BIPOC vendors. Market staff is also dedicated to regularly volunteering with local Indigenous groups whose efforts allow our community to thrive.
