For this festive drink, we’ve riffed on a decadent 1970s cocktail called Nuts and Berries. We’ve swapped the berry liqueur for our Brambleberry Bourbon and the result is pretty fabulous, if we do so say ourselves.
Notice the little bear in our Nuts & Brambleberries photo? He’s there for a reason. Bears, birds, squirrels, and plenty of other Pacific Northwest forest animals live on berries and nuts, the same flavors in this cocktail. That’s why we picked Nuts & Brambleberries for our Give!Guide Cocktail for a Cause. Every mini sold in our Bottle Shop through December 24 sends $1 to the Oregon Zoo Foundation, which supports wildlife work close to home, like bringing endangered condors back to Oregon skies and helping save the Mazama newt at Crater Lake. Our Brambleberry Bourbon brings the Oregon berries and the hazelnut liqueur nods to Oregon’s place among the world’s top hazelnut producers. Come sip for the wild side daily, 12–6 PM, at 900 SE Salmon Street in Portland’s Central Eastside.
