New Distillery Row Website
Something truly unique is occurring in Portland—a craft distillation revolution. A handful of innovative small distilleries are making handcrafted, locally distilled spirits available for the first time since prohibition. The heart of this movement lies in Distillery Row: an inconspicuous neighborhood of small warehouses and light industrial buildings in Southeast Portland, known as the lower east-side industrial district. In a strip 16 blocks long and five blocks wide, five independent distilleries (housing seven spirits companies) have begun producing over twenty unique liquors. They make everything from vodkas and gins, rums and whiskeys, to more specialized spirits such as absinthe,
aquavit, and flavored liqueurs.

New T-Shirts for Sale at the Tasting Room
We have the new batch of New Deal t-shirts on sale in our Tasting Room Store for only $15 a piece! We would like to thank our awesome designers for their beautiful work! Hand2Mouth Theater’s Everyone Who Looks Like You Opening Night Party
Help Hand2Mouth Theater celebrate the opening of their newest production, Everyone Who Looks Like You, at the opening night party at Theater! Theater!. Hand2Mouth is a theatre ensemble committed to creating original work. Drawing from dance, music, theatre and design, Hand2Mouth strives to connect honestly with audiences and collaborators, blurring the line between performance and reality.

Moving through meditative dances and raging fights, fractured confessions and awkward reconciliations, Hand2Mouth’s company of performers builds a hallucinatory canvass of family experience — when the people who once breathed the same air, the people who shared a bathroom and fought over the remote control, are now separated by time zones, culture wars, and divorce. Late-night snacks, sex talks, tantrums and tai-chi unfold around the kitchen table punctuated by live video and song. Drawing from experiences of the performers and creators, Everyone Who Looks Like You is a family drama exploded for the 21st century. Join Hand2Mouth for the full premiere of this hilarious, emotional, and viscerally stunning journey that the Oregonian calls “a small masterpiece . . . ultimately accessible, tender and liberating . . . the re-creation of theater for our time, and of our time.” Come immerse yourself in Everyone Who Looks Like You.

For more than a quarter of a century, the University District Food Bank has helped prevent hunger in Northeast Seattle neighborhoods. Each week, more than 900 different families receive the groceries they need to prepare nutritionally balanced meals at home. Join the Food Bank for a family-style Moroccan feast at St. Demetrios Hall in Seattle’s Montlake neighborhood for their annual benefit auction and help them Take a Bite out of Hunger.

This year’s event will impress even the most seasoned auction attendees. Past favorites–the restaurant frenzy, dessert dash, and a delicious dinner from Cameron Catering–plus a few surprises are sure to keep things interesting. Auction items include airline tickets from both Alaska and Southwest, a 10 day cruise from Holland America, winemaker for the day and hotel stays at many great places across the Northwest. Tables of eight can be reserved so gather your friends together and make it a fun night out in support of a great cause.

David Douglas Mentoring Project Benefit
The David Douglas Mentoring Project (DDMP), in conjunction with the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) works to match at-risk young people with caring adults who act as mentors. Many of our youth live in single parent households, struggle financially, wrestle with issues of immigration and assimilation, and have parents who do not speak English and do not understand the American school system. DDMP envisions a community in which every young person experiences nurturing one-on-one relationships with caring adults and has community support.

Join DDMP and IRCO at a benefit party at Indish to celebrate project achievements, spread the word about the program and raise much-needed funds to support their efforts.
